So, who are Dragon’s touring surfers, and how did they go from groms to pros? Learn all about our incredible swell chasers in our athlete spotlight ahead. Without further ado, let us introduce you to our summer sports champions.
Seth Moniz
Known for his winning smile and down-to-earth personality, Seth Moniz hails from Hawaiian surf legends. Born with surfing talent in his blood, he’s the youngest of the famed Moniz family. But Seth has also shone on his own merits: In 2019, he won the World Surf League’s Rookie of the Year Award, impressing onlookers with his seamless control on the waves. Fun fact: 3-time World Champion Mick Fanning, who’s also a Dragon athlete, actually passed down his iconic No. 7 jersey to Seth the very same year!
Seth has been pulling off effortless moves on the Championship Tour while flexing go-to’s from our men’s sunglasses, like Bishop H2O Polarized and The Box 2 Polarized.
Sawyer Lindblad
An exceptionally talented surf prodigy, Sawyer Lindblad grew up in San Clemente, which, as it so happens, is also where Dragon Alliance is based. Immersed in the community’s thriving surf culture, she started out in the surf scene while tagging along with her dad and older brother Taj on their seaside adventures. She then began competing at 10 years old and officially entered her first professional World Surf League event at 14.
As history would have it, she won her first qualifier event and then placed second in her next Qualifying Series competition. But her breakthrough streak didn’t end there. At 17, Sawyer then became the youngest winner of the Super Girl Surf Pro competition in 2022, and victory was hers once again when she earned first place in the 2023 US Open of Surfing at Huntington Beach.
While making waves in the World Surf League as a rookie athlete, Sawyer has been repping classic Dragon styles like Dune H2O Polarized.
Crosby Colapinto
Beloved for his laid-back and good-humored personality, Crosby Colapinto also grew up in San Clemente, where his parents owned a local surf camp and his older brother Griffin rose through the ranks in the pro surfing realm. At age 17, he took home his first qualifying series win and has been on the rise ever since. In 2023, he officially qualified for the Championship Tour, joining his brother on the World Surf League tour as a rookie.
